West Chester, PA–June 4, 2007–Chiral Technologies, Inc., appointed Mark McDonald to the position of Vice President Sales and Marketing. Previously, Mr. McDonald was President and CEO of CombiSep, Inc., a manufacturer of highly advanced capillary electrophoresis separation systems for life science applications. Chiral Technologies’ Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Joseph Barendt, announced the appointment today.

Mr. McDonald will report to Dr. Barendt, and manage all commercial aspects of Chiral Technologies, Inc., a company recognized as the largest supplier of chiral chromatography products in North America. “Mark’s significant strength and experience as a leader in the separations market will be utilized to help further advance our name and reputation throughout the industry, with a special emphasis on new business opportunities” commented Dr. Barendt.

Mr. McDonald has acquired over 25 years experience in the analytical scientific and chromatography instrumentation market. Additionally, he holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry and an honorary doctor of science degree form Missouri Western State University.

In recent years the field of chiral chromatography has grown from analytical chromatography products to a recognized production technology for small molecule pharmaceutical compounds.
